Registration will open for high school students in early November. View the summer schedule and course descriptions. Courses are open to Lake Forest College students, high school students, and community members.
Most of our Summer Session courses do not have pre-requisites. Most classes meet three hours a day, four days a week, either in the mornings or in the afternoons, leaving time to read and study, complete homework, and make the most of your summer. Lake Forest College’s small class size means you are never a number, a cell in a spreadsheet, or lost in the back of a cavernous lecture hall. Summer Merit Scholarships are not available for high-school graduates.Įach Lake Forest College course is equivalent to 4.0 semester hours. Summer High School tuition before the award of a Summer Merit Scholarship is $3,300 per course. Summer Merit Scholarships are available in award amounts up to $2,300.
Awards are determined by evaluation of the short application essay, which has been constructed to gauge intellectual promise for college-level study. The Summer Merit Scholarship Committee consists of professors and members of the admissions staff. After registering, please complete this application if interested. Lake Forest College internships are not available to High School students. Summer Merit Scholarships of up to $2,300 are available for academically qualified high school students. Our summer classes for high school students will welcome students into a rigorous academic environment where they will learn alongside college students and gain a better understanding of college-level course expecations. High school students who enroll in our summer session will find engaging programs that will help solidify their path to college. We offer college courses for high school students in the Chicago area so you can challenge yourself and make the most of your summer. You don’t have to be a Forester to enroll in Lake Forest College’s 2023 Summer Session. CCC feels like family to me.Summer registration for high school students is now open. My biggest advice is it’s never too late to change. I took the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board test on April 8 and became a CPHT. I interned at KM Pharmacy where I had so much hands-on experience. This has been one of the best things I have ever done.
